# 67 - The Help by Kathryn Stockett

(444 pgs) This was getting a LOT of talk especially with the movie about to be released, so I thought I'd better read it. Was a very good book and I will enjoy watching the movie. Love some of these characters! Made me think back to my grandparents home and the help they had whom we all just loved dearly and adored. My mother probably did get more affection and attention from her mother's help than she did her mother. And, sadly, I remember a separate bathroom in my grandparents home that I now realize was for the help. As kids, we just thought it was an 'extra' bathroom and really cool. Now I know better and it makes me sad. We've come a LONG way and for that I am thankful!
